20pc Silver Barber Quarter Grab Bag (90% Silver) Good to Very Good Condition
The Barber quarter, minted from 1892 to 1916 and designed by Charles E. Barber, features a distinct obverse and reverse that reflect the neoclassical artistic tastes of its era. The obverse, known as the "Liberty Head" design, showcases a profile portrait of Liberty facing right. She wears a Phrygian cap adorned with a laurel wreath, symbolizing freedom and victory. The headband inscribed with "LIBERTY" crosses the front of the cap, and above her head, the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" is prominently displayed. Thirteen six-pointed stars, representing the original thirteen colonies, surround Liberty in a semi-circle, with the minting year placed below her portrait.

On the reverse, the coin features a heraldic eagle inspired by the Great Seal of the United States. The eagle, with outstretched wings, holds a shield on its breast, symbolizing protection. In its right talon, it grasps an olive branch, signifying peace, while its left talon holds a bundle of arrows, representing readiness for war. The inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "QUARTER DOLLAR" encircle the eagle, and a ribbon bearing the motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM" (Latin for "Out of many, one") is placed above its head. Thirteen stars are arranged in an arc above the ribbon, echoing the thirteen original colonies. The dignified and straightforward design of the Barber quarter has made it a favorite among coin collectors.
